I've noticed that personal relationships have to have at least one side 'insisting' on maintaining the relationship. How often you run into people that you would really like to become friends with but nothing happens because no one pulls the trigger beyond the usual 'let's get together sometimes'. It takes a lot of effort to move it past that point. Are people really timid or just too busy? Or we just don't care to make the effort?
Do you call all the people you promised to call? Or just the ones you need to (need something from)? Do you email all the people you would really like to become friends with, or it just slips off you to-do list until it is too late?
What does it take for you to contact a person you just run into the other day and set another get together?
I am not trying to guilt you into calling people, I'm just wondering if it is me or is it one of those things...
How much effort do you put into making new friends?
